REBECCA

I've been chasing light and emotion through a lens for as long as I can remember. What began as a childhood obsession with documenting everything—people I loved, places I never wanted to forget—evolved into a lifelong calling.

I’ve been photographing professionally since 2006, but have had a camera in my hands since I was eight! (Seriously, ask anyone!)

This work became even more meaningful after I became a mother to two beautiful, spirited boys who constantly reflect back to me the parts of myself I once struggled to love. Raising them taught me the value of unconditional love and how essential it is to extend that same grace to ourselves.

My perspective deepened when I was diagnosed with breast cancer while they were still small. That experience changed me in ways I’m still uncovering. It clarified what matters: presence, courage, connection, and joy.

Today, I bring all of that into my work. I’ve created a photography space where people—especially women—can feel safe, seen, and celebrated. Whether we’re making bold, empowering boudoir images or documenting a fleeting season in your life, I aim to capture more than just how you look. I want to show you your strength, your softness, your spark.

This isn’t just photography. This is personal.

the soul behind the third woman

Hi, I’m Rebecca—the artist, dreamer, and founder behind The Third Woman. This studio was born out of a deep desire to create something bigger than just beautiful photos. I wanted to build a space where people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered—a place where every portrait tells a story of strength, love, and individuality.

Photography has always been my way of connecting with people on a deeper level. I believe that a single image has the power to change how someone sees themselves, and that power is what fuels every session I create. Whether I’m capturing a bold boudoir moment, a child’s laughter, or a family’s bond, my goal is to create a legacy of confidence and connection that will last for generations.

The Third Woman isn’t just my studio—it’s my way of making a difference in the world, one portrait at a time.

always a photographer at heart

Since I was young, I’ve been captivated by the way a single image can hold an entire story. Even when I chased stability in other careers, I couldn’t quiet that pull. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s a calling I’ve followed all my life.

Outside the studio, I’m a mom to two incredible boys, a dog lover with a soft spot for boxers , and carry Halloween in my heart all year round. I love to buy books and then never have a chance to actually read them, live for long dinners with my best friends, and will never say no to Mexican food. The beach is my happy place, where I’m reminded that life is made up of fleeting, beautiful moments worth pausing for, and I strive to bring that same calm, grounded energy to every session. ’m also a cancer survivor—something I never imagined I’d face, especially so early in life. That journey changed me in profound ways, giving me a deeper appreciation for life’s beauty and a stronger drive to help others see their own strength and worth.

The Third Woman was born from a dream: to create a safe, empowering space where people feel celebrated and seen. I want every session to be an experience that reflects who you are, in this chapter of your life, and to leave you with images that feel like art, but also feel like you.
